Volunteering

There are many opportunities for you to help make this event a success. Our volunteers have a lot of fun and get a free race a day commemorative t-shirt. Review the volunteer positions below and contact our chairperson to sign up. Indicate your preference of an early or latter shift.

All the positions listed below are for Sunday, June 10th at Vasona Lake County Park, 333 Blossom Hill Road, Los Gatos. All volunteers will be required to fill out and submit a volunteer participation form.

Set-up Team – Assist with tents, signs, tables, chairs, and other miscellaneous set-up activities

Volunteer and Information Tent –Maintain signing in log, distribute tee shirts and directing volunteers to assignments. Assist guest with general information.

Info Mavins – Walking around festival greeting the public and answer questions.

Duck Sales and Prize display – Sign up day of race sales and oversee viewing of prizes

Quacky and Walker – Wear Duck suit and walk around spreading “Duckieness”

Carnival Game & Bounce House Activities – Assist children of all ages with games and bounce house activities while ensuring their safety: 16-years and older, younger if accompanied by parent/gardening at all times 10:3-am-3:30pm full sun exposure.

Le Chic Duck – Duck merchandise

Activitie Booths: Drinks, Arts and Crafts and Face Painting

Volunteer & Sponsor Attendant – Assist caterers with food and beverages presentation and help to maintain cleanliness of areas

Clean up Team – remove all signs of the event from the park

Race Course Marshall – Help to ensure the public’s safety by standing along the inside of the race course and keeping the public away from t eh water before and during the Duck Race

Finish Line Attendance – Stand in the water at the finish line and assist with the winning ducks and then help with retrieval of ducks out of water.

Duck Retrieval Team – Assist with retrieving ducks out of the water using laundry baskets: 14yrs and older; wear old clothing and water shoes. YOU WILL GET WET
